VLOG: Average Sunday without an eating disorder. 10+ years fully recovered!

Recovering from an eating disorder isn’t just about stopping restrictive behaviors – it’s about regaining the freedom to truly live without food and body worries dominating your thoughts. In this vlog, I take you through a relaxed, normal Sunday in my life – something that would have been impossible when I was stuck in my eating disorder.

What Life Looks Like 10+ Years Fully Recovered

If you’re in recovery right now, you might wonder: What does a normal day look like without an eating disorder? Maybe you fear that food and body thoughts will always be there in some way. I completely understand because I used to feel the same way. I couldn’t imagine being a normal eater one day and not have the constant urges to binge, obsess about food and feel guilty over what I ate. But I’m here to tell you that full recovery is possible, and you can get to a place where food is just food, and your body is simply your home – not something to constantly monitor or control.

What My Sundays Look Like Without an Eating Disorder

Sundays in my past were filled with food anxiety – planning what I could eat, feeling guilty over “bad” foods, and compensating through exercise or restriction. Sometimes, Sundays also became the day of massive binge sessions, as an entire week of restriction had built up. I would frequently tell myself, “I’ll start over tomorrow,” with Mondays being the classic “new diet starts now” day. So, Sundays felt like my last and final binge before the next diet began (I’m facepalming hard as I write this). It. Was. Exhausting.

But now, all of that is in the past. My Sundays are no longer about food rules, guilt, or punishment. Now, they’re about living, being present, and enjoying the simple things.

In this vlog, you’ll see:

✔️ Eating intuitively – I eat when I’m hungry and what I truly want, without second-guessing or overanalyzing my choices. No calorie counting, no compensating – just normal, easy eating.

✔️ Spending quality time with my family – My focus is on connection and enjoyment, not obsessing over food or my body.

✔️ Moving in a way that feels good – No rigid rules, no punishment – just natural movement that my body enjoys (or complete rest if that’s what I need!).

✔️ Freedom from food guilt and body obsession – I no longer waste my Sundays worrying about what I ate or how my body looks. Instead, I embrace comfort, presence, and joy.

What Full Recovery Really Means

Being fully recovered isn’t about eating perfectly or never having a tough body image day – it’s about being free from obsession and compulsion. It’s about no longer letting food or weight dictate your happiness.

I hope this vlog gives you a glimpse into how normal days cal look like without an eating disorder. No matter where you are in recovery, keep going. One day, this freedom will be yours too!
